What I've Learned

Still learning, every day. But here's some important things...

You are stronger than you know. And usually find out when you are given the greatest challenges.

You are capable of more than you think. If you put your mind to it, you can do anything. Really.

Friends and family, Family and friends, are the same, often.

A dog listens, forgives, loves unconditionally, when no one else does.

If a person truly loves you and wants to be with you, nothing would stop them. They'd move mountains to be with you. No excuses, no exceptions.

Money holds temporary happiness.

Expect the worst, hope for the best.

If you have children, you could have created nothing more amazing in your life. As an artist, my children are my "masterpieces".

Spending time with the people you love has more value in the short time we have on this earth, than anything else you could ever, ever do.

You can't get time back. Don't waste today.

If you have made mistakes, or have regrets, don't quit. Start anew. It's never too late.

You're never too old to live your dreams.

Don't live in the past. Don't have expectations for the future. Just live today and hope for the best. But work hard doing so, as well.

Did I say "work hard"? Yes, please do. Knock doors down if you must.

Always, ALWAYS tell the people you love that you love them. Never leave in anger. Never go to bed upset. Don't leave words unsaid. Don't say harmful words you can't erase. You don't know what tomorrow brings.

Make a Bucket List. And start checking things off. It feels good.

Take lots of pictures.

Laugh, a lot. Don't always take life so seriously.

Forgive and find your peace. Let negative things go, as well as negative people. You deserve better.

Everyone has their own sufferings. Don't allow the illusion of internet pages with 'happy pictures' or even a person with 'success/money' make you think they're not enduring something difficult or have less issues than you.

There are always people that have less than you, who are more unhealthy than you, much sadder than you. Be grateful for everything you have, even the small things.

Smile and/or hug someone. Everyone needs one now and then. You really can make a difference with a small gesture.

Smile for yourself, too.
