MY #tbt continued wkly...
Summer nights sitting around the picnic table in our backyard, eating the BBQ dinner, jumping in the pool & sprinkler. Dad rigged the TV set outside so we could fall asleep watching under the stars on the patio. Sometimes a coat hanger was the antenna. Sometimes we woke up with a zillion mosquito bites. There were no cell phones, you answered a phone with a cord that extended a few feet if you were lucky, limited privacy, but there was a voice - almost tangible person; there was no texting, no internet, just people with real connections, making real experiences. Roasted marshmallows, chlorine hair, daisy dukes, cassette in the tape recorder, golden retriever sharing my ice cream cone. (No portable 8-track, but in our car/house).

TBT Diary 1
I have often written my "throwback" stories on facebook, but recently I began again.
I thought I should start also sharing them here.
Last week's:
May 22 near New York, NY
#tbt running in puddles in the rain down the street barefoot, mud splashing, thunder overhead, putting mom's mail in the local postbox (on the street), running back, still in the rain, splashing in puddles, hoping for the thunder to stop to jump in the pool, did it anyway, ("heidi get out of the pool!" "after one swim, ma!"), spray people with the water hose in the interim. run down the street with barefeet in the rain, splashing in puddles..........rinse, repeat. --that's MY tbt!

Dreams, Aspirations
I'm a strong believer that when you work hard, it pays off.
Don't be one of those that put all their faith in fate, thinking it'll just fall in your lap. It won't. Nothing comes for free. It requires passion, determination and perseverance. Belief in oneself! If you don't believe, no one will!! If you don't take risks in life, fear of failing or someone telling you "no", you'll live with regret and "What Ifs". There is a bigger risk in not trying or not giving your all, than to stick your neck out!! You won't know what you can accomplish 'til you try - and believe me, you'll surprise yourself. What's the worst thing that can happen? Explore, discover, create!! Do your best, be your best and NEVER give up on your dreams. EVER. ~Hyde
